Modern Ukrainian women – problems, success and possibilities

Yelena Franchuk
Yelena Franchuk
In Ukraine almost every woman is an example for imitation, the source of hope and inspiration for many people in the world. She does her best to be the best at work as well as to fulfill her responsibilities as a mother, a wife and a friend. At the same time she tries to change the life of other Ukrainian women for the better. They are worried with such problems, as children’s health, quality and affordable medicine, education, dignified work and safe environment. These matters are not of female nature only – they must be solved together for the sake of successful development of the whole country, civil society and its moral principles.

More than 80% of medical workers, workers of education and culture are women. Due to the women involved in various fields of Ukrainian society, the country develops and recovers after the years of collapse. Ukrainian women prove the simple truth that sometimes even a tiny piece of assistance or push is enough for a human being to restore his self-confidence and potency to change the world...

Compassion and sympathy are the main reasons why during a long period of time many Ukrainian women work without cease in order to improve the lives of orphans, ill persons, homeless children and those in need.

To name all those involved in charity and public assistance work is really a gambling task, yet it’s possible to mention some women who are struggling for the better future of the Ukrainian nation:
Thus, Yelena Franchuk helps the Ukrainian society to realize the danger of AIDS.
Ruslana Lyzhychko uses her artistic talent in order to attract attention of society to the women traffic problem and other social problems.
Marta Kolomiyets raises funds to support women with breast cancer.
Natalya Yaresko, through her investment campaign, financially backs up the projects of support of small and medium businesses in Ukraine, as well as personally supports various cultural and medical programs.
Ekaterina Levchenko and “La Strada” organization are monitoring the human rights of Ukrainian women that went abroad.

Prosperity and well-being of every nation depends on the destiny of separate individuals and especially on women, - their level of education and guarantee of individual rights. So, the main task of every government is to provide appropriate conditions for the women to enjoy their lives and feel themselves as the fully-fledged members of the society.
